Don't miss the ancient pharmacy, the museum of printing and the Monday market where you will find the famous Bresse Chickens. The 4 locks are manually operated and work on public holidays.
A calm waterway running across the vineyards of Macon, Beaujolais, and Lyon hillsides. You can head 112 km South, as fas as Lyon, with only 2 locks to pass. On your way you can stop at Mâcon, the rock of Solutré, the Touroparc, the Museum of guilds, or the hamlet of vine.
